Ok – so down 1 lb and 2 inches…. Not bad for week 1… Getting the last 5 to 10 lbs off is the hardest…. Why? your body adapts to what you’ve been doing so you have to mix it up, increase the intensity, and eat cleaner – not fun. How do I do that? I add heavier weights, increase my cardio time and intensity, etc.
Monday 8/23 – Week two – day 1
Finally it’s raining – made boot camp interesting and getting out of bed a little tough – but we needed it! Not sure what happened to yesterday – it kinda got away from me…. didn’t get my plan in place so feeling a little willy nilly today… hmmm… also forgot my sneakers – so can’t get extra cardio in at lunch – may have to figure something out for tonight….
Food today – egg whites and oatmeal, am snack smoothie – no spinach in the house so added some fiber to it… Lunch – 5 shrimp, 2 cups of salad and 1/2 cup on quinoa, pm snack apple and almonds – dinner: ground turkey, left over veggies and salad….
Will need to focus on getting water in today since I did a crappy job of it over the weekend…
Workout – boot camp this morning, tonight extra ab and Cardio – let’s plan on treadmill hike …. woo hoo!! got it done!!
Tuesday 8/24 – Week two – Day 2
Wow – can not believe I got my butt on the treadmill and did an ab workout after working boot camp…. This is how I know I’m serious – I HATE working out at night!
Today – I did remember my sneakers! Workout will be Interval training – 5 min slow job to warm up then 1 min walk at 3.0 / 1 min run from 5.0 – 7.0 which takes about 15 mins, and then treadmill hike from level 10 – 15 (increase 1 level each minute) and back down – this takes about 20 mins – finally 5 min cool down and stretch – total workout time w/ stretch about 45 mins. Tonight extra ab workout.
Food today – 1/3 cup egg white / 1/3 cup oatmeal with 1tsp of ground flax-seed. AM snack green smoothie. Lunch !! My favorite – quinoa spaghetti with a side salad!! and 1/4 piece of cantaloupe. PM snack 1 box raisins and 15 almonds. Dinner – 5 jumbo shrimp and 2 cups salad. (Change of plans – ended up with 3 oz of chicken with sauce in a pocket – and a large salad)
Wednesday 8/25 – Week two – Day 3
Ok ladies – today another rainy day at boot camp, but still fun… although my body was tired today so I did have to go a little easier than usual. Sleep up and down again – I really need to figure something out for this… mind is just racing…
Workout today – Boot Camp and 40 mins of cardio at lunch / extra abs tonight….
Food – Oatmeal / egg whites – green smoothie, 5 jumbo shrimp and 2 cups of salad (darn forgot my quinoa – that’s not good ) cantaloupe, PM snack raisins, 1TJ choc bar and 15 almonds… dinner – ground turkey and salad….
Yes, I do each chocolate daily – Trader Joe’s has a 100 cal individually wrapped dark chocolate bar… only thing that keeps me from cracking!
Thursday 8/26 – Week two – Day 4
Ok – sometimes life just happens … Yesterday not only did I forget my quinoa, I didn’t have any almonds at work like I thought I did… Ended up scrounging up 90 cents and got a granola bar (wanted nuts, but was short 10 cents), then ate an extra chocolate bar, so my snack ended up being like 500 calories…
Food for today – Oatmeal / egg whites – green smoothie, 5 jumbo shrimp and 2 cups of salad and cantaloupe, PM snack – raisins, 1TBS choc bar and 15 almonds… dinner – Outback … usually have the steak, vegetables, and a few sweet potato fries….
Exercises – hoping to get out and walk 4 miles….. Sun is finally out and I’m not sure I can stand hitting the treadmill again!
Going to really try to keep food super clean over the weekend. Think it is the only way I am going to reach my goal…. I feel like I’ve been killing myself all week and then giving it all back over the weekend by not being as strict, not eating regularly and not drinking enough water – Need to just think of the weekend days, as another day and not a free for all…
