- My goal to drop 1 lb – down .2
- 3 weight resistance workouts (Sunday Tues and Thursday) / 3 cardio workouts (Sat, Mon and Wed), Friday off – check!
- No vending Machine at this point this should be a given – but still putting it out there. – check!
- Get my PT stretches 1 time a day / add PT work to my resistance training workout (Y,T and W’s) –ok this was 1/2 and 1/2 – I did get my pt work in with my resistance training, but probably only did my stretches 4 out of 7 days.
- Plan all my cheats – check – well, I didn’t really plan any …
- No carbs with breakfast or dinner M-Th and only brown rice or quinoa with lunch – and measure all food M-Th – again, yes except for Tuesday night, and got lazy with the measuring mid-week …..
So – my 4 days of the 5-in-6 did not yield the results I was hoping for – although I have to remind myself we are not on the Biggest Loser here, and that as we get older it gets harder to drop weight, oh and the last 5 is the toughest to lose – did I forget anything? Here are my week 4 ending stats:
Weight down 1.75 – that’s ok, I will take it!
waist – .5 (26.5)
low waist – .5 (30.5)
hips – .5 (37.5)
Thighs – .25 each (22.5)
So down 2.0 inches….
I can definitely tell my pants are getting looser, and I do feel better. What else did I realize? That I do eat pretty good most of the time in my day-to-day life – except for the vending machine and occasional wine indulgence, which makes it more difficult for me to drop weight than someone who has had a really bad diet. Plus I do work out regularly… so in order for me to drop a pound a week I have to be drastic, and honestly – I am not up for that right now. Also seeing 136 ish instead of 139 or 140 ish feels pretty good…. so I refuse to be discouraged by this. I will continue to plug along over the next four weeks to see how close I can get to the 8lbs… who knows I may actually reach it! Stranger things have happened, haven’t they? What I would really love is for my pants not to feel like they have a sleeper hold on my thighs … and although my goal is to lose eight lbs in 8 week, my real goal is to drop another 1 inch on all fronts, and backs 🙂

- Take it easy on myself – although I like to think I am, I am not wonder woman.
- To be in the 135s.
