Wow – Today is the first day in a long time that I’ve actually felt inspired to write something new… Such a beautiful morning! While walking Ms. Chula I started thinking there is actual light at the end of the tunnel – I can feel it… with winter, with life, with love, with happiness and a huge relief came over me…..
We get out of love, life and happiness what we put into it. For me spring is a time of rebirth and a time to reinvent myself. Now is the time for me to find out who my authentic self is and embrace that person regardless of who or what that may be. Honestly – I’m tired of apologizing for being me and all the crazy that may come along with that. 😉
Part of my passion has always been creating and giving back. My Body Transformation Program is a great way for me to give back and to share with you what has always worked for me. Each year I enjoy going through these 8 steps with you because it’s a great reminder of all the hard work I’ve done in the past – and believe it or not, like most of you – I do struggle with keeping my mind, body and spirit healthy – ugh – especially over the winter. But with Spring right around the corner I feel my creative energy coming back.. Wooo Hoooo!!
So what did we learn over the last 8 weeks –
1. We learned that Planning + Consistency = Success… this I cannot stress enough.
2. We learned the importance of Water and how it keeps our bodily systems running smoothly.
3. We learned that food will get you 80% of the way to that body you’ve always wanted and that portion control and healthy foods are key. (beware of carb intolerance) We also learned that great abs are made in the kitchen…. We all have them, they are just hiding under layers of fat.
4. Excercise will get you the other 20% of that body you’ve always wanted…. but don’t over do it – baby steps and build – otherwise you may feel overwhelmed and quit!
5. We learned how slowing your life down and taking time for you is key in reducing your stress and your body’s cortisol. Cortisol releases insuline into your system and makes it physically impossible for your body to break down fat.
6. And most importantly we learned that lack of sleep is the triple threat to weight loss. It messes with our homones: Cortisol, the fight or flight hormone; Leptin, the fullness hormones and Ghrenlin the hunger hormone – talk about a cluster 😉
