Normally I have no problem with this since I attend a Red Carpet Ready Reunion at the end of September in LA with the FABULOUS Valerie Water and the girls from the RCR forum – but this year I’m not going to make it – boo – double whammy – disappointment and no additional motivation to stay on track… so what’s a girl to do?
hmmmm – I know, I keep going around and around about staying on track just like you…
So what IS a girl to do?? Well, the first thing I’m going to do is go back though all my old blogs seriously, some of that stuff is not too shabby 😉 Sometimes I need to take my own advice… next I AM going to write a bucket list. This AMAZING young woman I know, Rachel Rofe, had 100 things on her bucket list and is down to 30 something – I’m going to guess she is in her mid to late 20’s…..She is also my inspiration for my 5 positive things list, which I try to do daily – she did 10, and when I first started I could barely do three. Any way – I did do a Fit at 50 challenge, but didn’t push to have it shared by another venue… I wanted to get my “Honey Pie” story published, but I have not moved that stone at all, I did launch my Unlocking the Secret to Success Program but want to change some things around. I really need to buckle down and refocus – and yes – get some help from my friend Anne Samoliv and her Fearless Launch program. Talk about amazing, this woman took her dream and made it a reality – and is making other’s dreams a reality too….
You are probably thinking what does this have to do with motivation…. well – when you have things to work on and look forward to it spices up your life… when you move towards things that make you happy and away from disappointment and sadness – you do become motivated it ALL aspects of your life. You get excited – you make lists and plans, and if health and fitness is something you want – it will end up on your list and you will become motivated to do it. Ooo the other thing I AM going to do is make a vision board of my bucket list – how fun does that sound!
Honestly – I am an all or nothing kind of gal – I’m working on that….. my goal is to be balanced. I started reading a great book called Beyond Mindfulness in plain English – it is basically a meditation book and talks a lot about recognizing and letting go of things that hinder your happiness. It’s kinda like Buddha 101 – I have not gotten to the meditation part and have had to re-read the first 4 – 5 chapters a few times to figure out what it is I need to do, which is letting go of some anger, fear, resentment, etc. Gosh – it is not pretty. You can let go of things, but you can’t force others to let go of things no matter how much you wish for it – We all have regrets, we all want to forgive and be forgiven for things that may have happened or were said in the heat of the moment – right?
I have A LOT of self-work to focus on which I am actually excited about -so yes, I’m feeling kind of motivated. Â Imagine – a John Lennon song… the man was pure genius…. click Imagine, close your eyes and let the words inspire/motivate you to become the person you want to be and have the life you want to have.
