Let’s get the party started…

OMG – here I am sitting on the couch feeling like a stuffed Christmas goose!  This last week was so difficult to stay on track… Thank goodness I at least tried.

So what am I going to do first – well, as my good Friend Val would say – “kitchen cleanse”!!!  This means get all the junk out of the house – not tomorrow or the next day or next week – TODAY – and restock with some good healthy foods….. then make a plan for the week – do not leave this up coming week to chance – nothing good will come of it – trust me! And lastly – drink your water!!! This will help flush out your body!

So for me – most stuff got sent home with family last night, the rest will be gone by the end of day. The ham, potato’s, veggies, but most importantly the apple pie.

Plan for the week – mostly cardio and lower body. I’ve had a shoulder injury which I think I finally need to get looked at. Hmmmm – so Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday-Ab workout, then 40 mins on elliptical, Monday, Wednesday and Friday – lower body – my fab 5 -which is Bulgarian split squats, high step ups, walking lunges, dead lifts and 1 legged squats, and finish with my Val slide 20’s – 20 forward lunges, 20 vs side lunges, 20 vs reverse lunges, 20 curtsy lunges on each leg.

Restock with good food – make sure I have spinach, cherries and blueberries for my smoothies, shrimp for my salad – oh and of course salad stuff, raisins, cashews – healthy snacks… etc.

And drink my water – may have to add some lemons to it – to help flush out the toxins, plus for some reason it take away my cravings for sweets.
three pound

So everyone – let’s get the party started – the party to a healthy week that is – don’t let this past Holiday be your slippery slope, don’t let this week turn into a week of indulgence and turn into another two to  weight gain…. because it will.. Let’s get ourselves in check this week so we can enjoy our new year without guilt.
