Mini Challenge Day 1-6

Monday – Day 1

Breakfast: 1/2 cup of green bean / 1/3 cup egg whites
28 oz of lemon water on way to work
Am Snack: protein smoothie
12:30 Lunch 5 shrimp / 1/3 cup brown rice / 2 large cups of salad with many veggies 20 squirts spray Italian and 1 oz balsamic vinegar
pm snack 1 apple 15 almonds
5:30 dinner 4 oz of turkey – had an appt at 6:00 I forgot about and had to run out the door chewing – hate when that happens…
 
 Workout: Lower body blast – Loaded high step ups 10’s, loaded reverse lung 15lb, Bulgarian spit squats 10’s, single leg squat – body weight, single leg RDL 10’s (10 each / 2 times) cardio – 2 set of 8 spit jumps / 8 jump squats, 16 body squats – 2 sets of 40 walking lunges – finished with 20 hydrant kicks, 20 donkey kicks, 20 cross and touch and 20 foot to ceiling each leg 1 time through – sounds fun doesn’t it – I hope I live to tell about it

Ok – I lived – but why is there free ice cream at work today? … after that workout – not even tempted

didn’t get ab workout in, but did do week 1 of couch to 5k – 5 min warm up,1 min jog, 90 second recovery x 8 then 5 min cool down – I’m beat!

Hungry at 8:30 – had water and I scoop of whey protein

Tuesday Day 2

Morning ladies – boy am I beat today…

Was 100% compliant yesterday food wise – only missed doing my abs last night workout wise – all in all a great first day… didn’t feel hungry really which honestly I credit to the lemon water – choc cov cacao nibs helped me through the afternoon – whew… glad I still have some – I did have to push myself through my two workouts… but got them done! some times you just have to do it…

Today –

Workout – did abs – have a meeting today so no scheduled workout – tonight treadmill hike – probably 7:00 PM
– did get in a 15 min walk around building at 10 am

Food

6:30 1/3 c egg whites / 1/2 c green bean – always surprised how full this makes me…

 9:30 protein shake

12:30 5 oz of shrimp and salad – drat forgot to put the brown rice in…

3:30 Apple and 15 almonds

5:30 3 oz of ground turkey – green beans and salad – I hope … have a client at 5:45….

5 positive things

1. got my ab workout in!
2. got to work before my co-workers
3. Am having a good hair day
4. ordered a wind screen and beach caddy / table for our mini 5 day vac in Maine – I love just sitting on the beach with a cup of coffee first thing in the morning and listening to the waves and the seagulls – pure bliss…
5. Just found out my daughter may be sleeping over Saturday with my little chick – good grief.. I can hardly wait!!

Wednesday Day 3

Oh pooh – sorry ladies, but had a little mishap with a 3 pack of PB cups… I’ll blame it on my missing rice… meeting with my client ran over so I didn’t get in my treadmill hike…

Oh well – on to today…

Food –
egg whites / green beans
protein smoothie
3 shrimp / brown rice / salad
pm apple / almonds
dinner Chicken / salad and green beans

workout –
AM boot camp
1:30 gym power walk for 3 miles – too hot to walk outside

 5 positive things – hmmm – seem to be running out of things here – have been a little preoccupied so I haven’t been as observant …..

1. my friend offered to pick me up a really cute shirt at the limited today so I could do my lunch time workout

2. ok got another one – I am able to do the mod turkish get ups with a 4 lb weight now – when I first started these with Val I could not use any weight, and barely get 5 in on each side…

3. Had my lunch ready and clothes laid out before boot camp so I was able to get ready and out the door in about 20 mins!!

4. Today I am feeling really good, focused and kinda happy… I like when that happens – means it will be a very productive day

5. Got a compliment on my hair basically a high and low pony twisted together a kept in place with 4 little clips – I guess it looks “cute”

Life is good today!

Thursday Day 4

Ok – so I may have been a bit over zealous in my workout schedule – two times a day is do-able, but 3 is a little too Last night no treadmill hike – got home late – about 6:45 and ended up eating more like 6 oz of chicken, with my salad and green beans – plus – 2 handful’s of cashews…. other than that food on Target –

Today – workout
– got abs in
– will do treadmill hike at lunch and try to get through two sets of Val’s upper body sculpt – upper body is not really my problem…

Food – oy another appt. tonight, but should have time to eat quickly before I go…

6:30 egg whites and green beans
9:30 protein smoothie
12:00 3 oz of fish / salad and brown rice
1:30 Gym
3:00 apple and almonds – drat – forgot my apple! will have to buy one in cafe…
5:30 dinner scramble hamburg with light taco seasoning over salad with extra tomato.

FIVE POSITIVE THINGS!!!

1. wearing my first skirt of the season this morning with a very cute white top – feeling kinda pretty

2. checked out my butt in the mirror this morning and think it looks as though they are definitely moving in the right direction – thad’ be up!

3. I know I wasn’t suppose to get on the scale, but I did see 133.6 – that is 2.4 lbs with two days left before I weigh in – yeah!!

4. There is someone doing threading in my office on my friend – I’m going to ask her to do my stash 😛 heehee

5. Oh good grief – I’m done – she did my cheeks and chin too – who knew I was such a hairy beast… I’m going to sign up for a threading class – so instead of waxing brows and lips – I’ll thread my skin care clients much better for the skin — too much fun!

Friday Day 5
 
Wow my energy is through the roof today!! I feel really happy, and I don’t know just up! Love it…

so funny story … I forgot my apple yesterday, right – and was going to get one in the cafe, but by the time I got over there to workout, it was closed… around 3:30 I ate my almonds, got a small cut of coffee and tried munching on a few choc cov nibs… I was cracking…. looked for change to hit the vending machine – none… but, did remember seeing cake down stairs – yup – I went down and took the smallest piece I could find 2X2 – chocolate – my fav…. so I’m walking back and this guy stops me mid bite and asks if I’ve lost weight – he was motioning like I use to be a little rounder … anyway – he followed me upstairs and I gave him one of Mark’s cards – I guess everything happens for a reason right

So 5 positives girls…

1. Got two new testimonials …
2. Was told my skin is glowing today
3. So far got in my DA ab workout and boot camp – 4 mile walk at lunch is going to happen – I can feel it
4. I’ve been going through some personal challenges lately and can so see light at the end of the tunnel… Just gotta DECIDE… today I’m feeling I may just be there
5. It is freakin friday ladies… woo hoo!!!

6. just heard Chrystal is definitely sleeping over saturday night with the baby – ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
7. and she may have found an apartment 20 mins CLOSER –

Saturday – Day 6
Ok, ok – onto the results

5 day results…

Weight – 132.6!!! down 3.4 lbs!!!
Waist – 26 – down 1 inch!!
Low Waist 30 – down 1/2 inch!!!
Hips – 27 down 1/2 inch!!
Thighs 21.5 down 1/2 inch!!!

Total inches 2.5 inches…. woo hoo – I’m half way to my goal girls…. with all the little crazy cheats this week I thought for sure things wouldn’t go this well… I guess if I really think about it thought I was probably eating 70 / 30 at best for a while and even if I bounced from 80/20 to 90/10 through the week, that was enough of an improvement diet was to get some results, plus of course the increase in my workouts….

So Today –

lunch – salad / ground turkey with taco mix
snack – apple and almonds
dinner – steak / salad / veggie

Workout –
ab workout and $30 treadmill 3-4 times…

3. going to get my spa room set up today!
4. Coal’s – my cat – weight is up…. 9.8 he has IBS and I’ve been trying to wean him off the steroids, but it wasn’t working… so had to increase them again…
5. I gotta feeling….

 

 

Ok, ok – onto the results

5 day results…
