5 Positive Things….

Did you ever hear the saying – where the mind goes, energy flows……

All I have to say to this is “Five positive things” – These 3 small words can make a world of difference in how you view life…

During my Diamond Club experience with Valerie Waters I met a young girl named Rachel, who is one of THE most positive people I’ve ever met in my life – I remember her doing a self challenge that included writing 10 positive things a day, for thirty days …  I was lucky if I could come up with 2 or 3… The funny thing is the more I did it, the easier it became… So thank you Rachel for opening my eyes…

Now that I’ve been doing this for a while I can actually see a shift in my life – I feel happier, less stressed out, more in control of my feelings…. I find that I am noticing small things that really make me smile – like a dog walking down the road with a stick in his mouth looking extremely proud of himself – or how beautiful my ride to work is, especially now that all the flowers are blooming, or how happy it makes me to come home and have dinner waiting for me…. Even something like my cat peeing in the house can be looked at positively, (I’m totally serious) like he didn’t pee on a rug – or the rug he pee’d on can go in the washing machine – why cry over split milk, so to speak – right!

There is actually a website called http://www.5positivethings.com/ – this is a great place to go if you have no idea where to start….

Another way to really enjoy life and to be positive is to try to live in the now – why worry about something that’s happened in the past – you can’t change it…  or worry about what is going to happen in the future – you can’t do anything about something that has not happened yet, and trust me, when it does, our instincts take over and we will be able to handle it…. But if for some reason your worried you can’t – put a plan in place, that way you will feel in control, and know you CAN handle what ever it is – IF and when it happens…

Life doesn’t have to be miserable – it can and should be wonderful – enjoyable – lived to the fullest… and it can be – by starting with 5 positive things…

Mine today are…

1. May have to give you a little back ground on this on – there have been some mysterious “pee” puddles in my house – So the cat’s now have to got to bed the same time I do – door shut… so back to the positive – Although there was some cat retaliation yesterday (little guy pee’d in front of closed downstairs bathroom door (hubby had to clean that one – hee hee) – and then he pee’d right in front of me on upstairs bathroom rug!) Poor bugger got his little nose rubbed in it and was then shown when he is supposed to pee – I am determined to stay strong!
2. Survived hubby’s boot camp this morning!! It’s so fun – I love it!!
3. Love being me – yes I do!!
4. Have been feeling super stressed lately, but today feel pretty calm and relaxed – feels nice.
5. Picked up a new day-timer with coastline pic to start planning my life plan –

See nothing crazy, but re-reading them makes me smile …. What are your 5 positive things?
