Planning + Consisitency = Success!

tow truckI know, I know – I’ve said this a hundred times… but making a plan and following it consistently, in my opinion, is the only way to succeed at pretty much anything in life.

I’ve dropped 15 lbs since June 1 and did even realize it until last week… bizarre right? After 5 years I swear I’m on auto pilot – I continue making weekly plans and do the best I can to follow them – no pressure, no guilt – nice.

Well, Ok….. sometimes there is a little guilt, and sometimes I do kinda beat myself up for not loosing as quickly as I have in the past – but truth be told – I don’t really want to work that hard anymore. When you see people with tight bodies, trust me they work for them, and some work harder than others – so unless your willing to do the work stop beating yourself up for not having “that” body and just love being in the skin your in…. capish!

If you’ve read my last few blogs you know that motivation can be as much of an issue for me as it can be for you. So to give myself a little push I am meeting up with a few friends in Michigan to run a 5k.

So here is my plan this week:

C25k Week 2 again (Wed, Fri, Sun morning) which is a 5 min warm up and 20 mins of 90-second runs with 2 min recovery in between…. I think next week I should be able to jump to week 3 which is alternating 90 run /90 recovery with 3 min run / 3 min recovery….

Also feeling ready to hit the gym again during lunch time…. Tuesday-yoga, Wed-Friday – Actions Hero Babe Build, Burn and Sculpt Series… This was inspired by my sister Marilyn as I was dragging 4 tubes behind my Kayak for two hours down the Pemi River because the river was NOT running wild 😉 (thank you Scotty for taking the last hour – I was toast) – anyway… She kept commenting on my back and I must say I loved hearing it… Now I want to get my arms back – I want my abs back and my quads to be tight again. Running will help me with the quad thing…. and of course my hot pink Valslides will tighten my butt and hips…

I guess that is about it…. I hope I’ve inspired you all to get your plans together – of course, following them is a whole other story… try to find something that will motivate you and trust me – you will succeed!!
