8 week pre-spring mini challenge – Week 7!!

Here we are at the beginning of week 7….. April 8th will be the last weigh in…..

My goals / commitments for this past week!

  1. Continue with my 6 workouts a week – ooo Marky just gave me a new plan – looks a little scary… OK – I have a love hate thing with these workouts…. I love them because I know they will work, I hate them because my hiney hurts!! These workouts are going be my new best friend for 3 more weeks…. but then hopefully boot camp will start again!! Oh and the girls who come are the best – not sure how we got so lucky.
  2. Get up early and spend 15 minutes stretching and waking up / before bed stretch and wind down – have been doing this each morning – actually forgot I said I would do it at night – hmmm. But the morning is heaven, put my coffee on, go stretch – get my coffee and sit on the couch and enjoy it …. really love starting my day like this….
  3. Lose .5 – 1.0 lb No change in weight this week – am I surprised?  Not really… Missed two workouts this week…1 home brew and 1 cardio, plus I over ate two nights – a little too much quiona pasta….plus some hormonal swings with night sweats and lack of sleep, which is a stress on the body…  Remember I mentioned for me at this weight I have to work extra hard and be on point with my diet…. when the scale doesn’t move I usually head straight for the tape measure which did show a reduction in my waist, hips and thighs, but my lower belly was up…. the dreaded bloat…. which could explain the scale … No worries though, will just have to work a little harder next week.
  4. Do something for myself daily and report back what it is – this is going to be really difficult…. Good grief – not even sure why I put this out there – I NEVER do anything for myself, but my hubby did – he bought me a Netbook this past weekend which I love AND paid for a mani / pedi – super sweet right?  Oh wait! I did do something for myself… I bought myself a pair of Ascic sneakers – I can’t believe how good they feel on my feet, oh and I did workout every day – that is doing something for me, I spent time stretching and enjoying my own company each morning – that is something right?   I guess I just put too much pressure on myself to enjoy life – sometimes just being is enjoying…. oh and also I read a great blog on my girl Sheila’s http://livewell360.com/ site and my friend Anne did a fabulous 31 day series on freeing up time – you have to check it out – L-O-V-E her!! http://www.annesamoilov.com/31-days-to-more-white-space/

Next weeks goals:

  1. Hit all my workouts hard
  2. No carbs at night
  3. Continue with my morning stretches
  4. Lose .5  to 1lb
